So is it safe to say that ALTHOUGH I am very happy to get another season of Bridgerton to watch and I find it highly entertaining, that after the magic of ep 1, the rest feels like a massive let down? Don’t get me wrong. I love it, but also I didn’t get any of the excitement or tingling sensation from the last seasons? It fell flat. And My Cottage? From the way people spoke about it I was expecting so much more. Am I missing something from those scenes? I mean it was cute and funny to watch but simply no heat. Like why am I more invested in Violet and her lover than in the main couple?? And yet Benophie was so magical in ep 1 and Sophie and Benedict on their own I love. Just together, I did not feel the spark

Benophie has me GAGGED

1. THE POWER Sophie holds over Benedict. Girl ask the son of the owner of the house, so essentially it’s HIS house, in which she WORKS, to leave in order to protect her job and he complies with puppy eyes. Girl has so much power over him I can’t. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

2. The only person who has some kind of sense and was remotely able to put two and two together was feverish Benedict. Like ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? He spends so much time thinking about the LiS and thinking of her lips and he can’t figure it out that the same lips he likes to kiss are in fact the LiS?? I banged my head against the wall so many times 😫🫠

3. THE STAIRS. The freakin STAIRS. He’s so hungry for her to have it that he literally just went in directly with two fingers✌️👀

4. BE MY MISTRESS. Benedict Bridgerton if I catch you. He’s so convinced that it’s the most brilliant plan he’s ever come up with that after finger fuckin her quite senseless and deliriously happy, he doesn’t even ASK HER. No he just simply drops it like that, like a statement. The gall of him 😳

And now I guess we wait a month 🙂‍↕️🤷‍♀️

Yeah that’s why I’m still single. The level of my expectations, which were already high, have just been set to a whole new level.

Honestly one scene of 5 sec and I felt so many things, I fear I will not survive those crumbs 😭

Just some quick thoughts about this first episode:

Francesca is most definitely not even attracted to John but I’m not sure how she feels about Micheala quite yet but there’s something there 👀😏

Eloise was so happy to have found a way out of the season and was so defeated by Violet who is unrelenting

Speaking of Violet, I think her storyline is going to be very cute (at least I hope so, she deserves some romance of her own)

Hyacinth was stunning, your time will come sweetie (hopefully on screen) and then you’ll be the belle of the ball

Nicola is gorgeous, more so than last season if I can admit

Elliot has such striking blue eyes 😮

I loved seeing Polin! The way he’s her escape, and he’s also protective but knows when to step back. My boy has grown so much 🥹 although I have to say I do not like the fact that he seems to be treated as a suffix to Pen

Speaking of Pen, I cannot see that wager, the Queen will hands down win though of course

Poor Agatha who just wants to travel 😔

And now for the star of this episode, my beloved Sophie Baek and Benophie

OMG I UNDERESTIMATED THEM SO BADLY

because one scene was all it took to make me fall head over heels.

They are so perfect and beautiful and romantic and soft. And Sophie, I knew nothing about her, I will now lay down my life for her and ask her to marry me only to be rejected.

I love her.

I love her softness but also her fire, the fact that she just wanted to enjoy herself but also went for what she wanted, her honesty, her self countenance. She is everything a strong soft female main character should be. I am fully convinced she could slay a dragon while doing it gracefully and beautifully and I love her for it.

I will be dreaming of that gazebo scene for the next two weeks until I can get more of them 🤍
