thinking about percabeth... the romanticism of growing up with a friend who you soon realise will actually stay, the beauty of having someone ground you to the mortal world, the only person who can pull you back up when you feel like drowning, hands brushing together and pulled back immediately, getting lost in each other’s eyes, finding love where it wasn’t supposed to be pushing and pulling against each other until finally you find your footing and everything falls into place, the bravery of kissing someone simply because you can’t bear the thought of not doing so, desperate hand grabbing and whispered reasurances of ‘i’m here, i’m here, i’m here’ and hugging each other tight because nothing feels real anymore and you have to convince each other that they’re real and not just something you made up, and falling into each other and realising that this is where you’re supposed to be, in each other’s arms and realising you’ve finally built something permanent
