Can we kill the "the guy in the wheelchair stood up" jokes? Cause, while there is a big chance that they use it because they can't walk, there's also the issue that they might use it because they can't walk for long distances. Yes, they can stand, yes, they can walk for short distances, but they might get seriously injured walking for more than that, or even walking at all. It's not funny, it's just erasing people who need the mobility aids but can stand up. It's ableist, and I say we kill it.
This might seem like a dumb thing to talk about, but I occasionally look at meme spaces and that is a concerningly common joke.
