All are in-demand collaborators in New York’s musical community and work with a wide array of artists, from pop superstars like Beyoncé to critically lauded independent musicians like Will Sheff (Okkervil River) and Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls), as well as with respected figures of the avant-garde like Fred Frith and Ran Blake.   It's been a few years since the New Yorker labeled Cuddle Magic’s music "high concept chamber-pop.” At the time, that was a fair statement about a band known to utilize 12-tone rows, odd meters, and extended techniques; a band which had collaborated with new music pianist Phyllis Chen and Third Stream master Ran Blake. But with Ashes/Axis, the band’s forthcoming record, listeners are less likely to hear echoes of the academy. All sorts of heady compositional devices, both musical and literary, are still present, but the members of Cuddle Magic have learned to bury those influences deeper in the substrate of the music. The music is composed, performed, produced and engineered by recording artist Julie Kathryn. Her newest EP, Desert, is a project that illustrates the subtle complexities of desire, passion and longing. I AM SNOW ANGEL has been featured by the Huffington Post, Indie Shuffle, Magnetic Mag, Creem Magazine, Refinery 29, All Things Go and many more for her “fluorescent beats and emotionally charged melodies.” A self‐sufficient artist, I AM SNOW ANGEL is a co‐founder of Female Frequency, a musical collective that is dedicated to empowering women and girls in the music industry. I AM SNOW ANGEL fuses digital and organic elements, resulting in a sound that is both ethereal and earthly. The music is composed, performed, produced and engineered by recording artist Julie Kathryn.

Festival Season is Near

Jam Nation LV has officially announced their Just About Music: Art Festival and Block Party or better known as JAMfest. The lineup includes Le$la Flame, DJ Richy Rozay, Xavier Wulf along 20+ other artist with Riot Ten headlining.

Jam Nation LV is a coalition of creatives including producers, both musical and visual artist and the classic influencers. This is one of the few “by Vegas for Vegas” events. JAMfest will include live music, showcase artwork, and provide an overall festive environment in our local art district/downtown area.

What’s best about this event?

It’s an all age inclusive. It begins at 2pm, so bring your younger mates to celebrate. It does end at 9pm so it gives you times to party on elsewhere if you wish so.

The Many Realms will be in attendance to capture the event and report back to my lovely stars. I do expect to see you all there. Until then, I will be so gracious to bring you music and words about the different performers of JAMfest. The countdown begins now. 8 weeks and counting!

AWKWAFINA: NYC-based hip hop artist, hails from the same alma mater as Nicki Minaj and Azaelia Banks, and has been dubbed the Asian Daria for her witty and sarcastic lines, as heard in her singles, "My Vag" and "NYC Bitche$." Also, Yellow Ranger. Seriously. This is going to be so cool.

SAMMUS: an Ithaca born-and-raised rap artist and producer with Congolese and Ivorian family roots. Her production leans heavy on chopped samples and video game-like synths. Smart lyrics, diverse subject matter and versatile flow. And come on yo, she's named after the heroine from Metroid. And has a video about playing videogames.

JOHNNY LI: Inflenced by artists such as Kanye West, Talib Kweli, and J Cole, Johnny Li uses the mic to shine light on his unique experience growing up in Brooklyn as an Asian American striving for success.
