Uh oh. Lol, I'm so bad at stuff like this! But here goes nothing.
1. I grew up in the Ozark "Mountains" and have a Southern accent that likes to play peekaboo (it fades and I forget about it until I'm around someone else who has a similar accent and then even I notice it because it comes roaring back, welcome or not). I may never lose it again after living in Alabama for nearly a year, though...
2. I love to hike but I'm lazy, so I don't go nearly as often as I want to. I feel so ... alive when I'm out in the woods. I can't really explain it.
3. I spent nine years in the US Army Reserves (I don't regret it, but I would NOT want to do it again! definitely not for me), which is where I met my husband. I told him he was geographically undesirable and that I didn't believe he'd call me every day. He proved me wrong.
4. I love food. And wine. I love the dining out experience. Sometimes, when I find a really great restaurant, I'll just go sit there by myself to soak in the atmosphere. And drink wine. I miss not having a place like that right now. :(
5. I'm a creative soul. Crocheting and nail art are my current obsessions, but I have innumerable ideas that cross over into plenty of other veins - and never the time, money, or ability to do them all, of course. I'm happiest when I'm in the grip of that creativity, though, and wish I could figure out how to make a living that way. I'm still working on that part.
Bonus (because I already wrote all that other stuff, but this is actually the first thing I thought of - yeah, I also have a lousy memory): I'm allergic to chocolate. Well, caffeine, but it's the chocolate I want! Particularly dark chocolate. Hot and melty syrupy type dark chocolate on ice cream... Or fresh out of the oven homemade semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies. Yum... *sigh*
