morty would die for both of them, tbh. Rick is shitty but has Done Some Shit for Morty that he never thought he’d do. But Rick’s also been just as much of a shit as the rest of the fam, if not more. Summer was also kind of a shit, but probably the lesser of most of the family. Plus in the show, Morty does his best to protect Summer multiple times, ie S3 Ep1.

TLDR; MORTY WOULD DIE FOR THEM BOTH

i feel like its something of the same. but he’s really Bitter™ at them for the neglect. He mostly just keeps his distance and hopes they’re doing well. Other than that he just. Tries not to think about it.
