"And who do I have the pleasure of meeting this time? Want something to drink?"
00:00:00 - [Sorry, had to do this. ]
In a universe where everyone is born with numbers on their wrists counting down to when they’ll meet their soulmate, send me 00:00:00 for my muses reaction to their numbers hitting zero when they meet yours.
Loki had really started to settle and get used to the City of New York, getting into his routine of day to day activities. Monday, Wednesday and Friday he’d visit the book-store, stopping in at the coffee shop on his way home. He paid for his tea, sitting down at one of the tables near the corner and took out one of his new books. He blew his tea, waiting a while for it to cool down before sipping it. He had just started to really get into his book before he felt a warm tingle circle his wrist. He rubbed his wrist at first, thinking nothing of it until he felt the tingle again. Looking down Loki pulled up his sleeve, his eyes widening once he saw his counter had reached zero.
He swallowed a little, shaking his head slowly as he closed his book, looking up and around the shop. No, no this can’t be right. He thought. I’ve been in here every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Why hasn’t this happened sooner? He thought over things as he looked around, wetting his lips. He hadn’t ever paid attention to who came in everytime he was here, though he wish he had - he’d be able to spot who wasn’t usually there if he had. What if they’ve died? He frowned at that, because if they really had died, his counter would have set itself to zero.
He took a mouthful of his tea before slowly standing, looking over the people entering and queueing to buy their drinks. He rubbed his hands together before looking back down at his wrist, rubbing the counter. What if my counter has stopped working? What if it’s stopped working, and i’ll never find them?

That wouldn’t be the first time, would it?
I do love getting texts saying how much someone loves my writing and loves reading my threads :D
Boosting up my confidence and getting me motivated. I like it.
