Yunho looked around, trying to find his best friend, you. But you didn't show up, even after the first bell. Once the first class was over, he took out his phone to text you.

[8:30 am] Yah, where are you?

[8:30 am] at home?

[8:30 am] You know, it's a Monday, right?

[8:31 am] I'm sick, I'm at home, now leave me alone

That was all he need as an excuse to leave school and take care of you. He walked to your house just a few blocks away from the school you went to. He knocked on the door of your house. You, suprised that someone was here, went to your window and opened it up to see who it is. That was when you saw Yunho. "Yunho?!" You shouted. "Why are you here?" You asked. "I came to take care of you!" He called out. "Now, open the door for me!" He said. You sighed and went down to unlock your door. “Ok, now what?” You said, a little annoyed. He bent down and picked you up, and put you over his shoulder. You squealed. “Yunho put me down! I can walk myself, you know!” You tried to kick him, but your legs were too weak to. You sighed and let him take you back to your room and put you down on your bed. He went out of your room to go get something. “Yunho, why do you want to take care of me? I’ll get you sick!” You said. He came back into your room with a cup of water, which he gave you to drink. “Because you are my friend, and I worry about you all the time!” He said as you drank the water. “Hey uh, mind getting me my meds from down stairs?” You asked. He nodded and went back. While you were waiting for him, you pulled out your sketchbook and started drawing whatever came to your mind. When Yunho came back into your room, he found you peacefully drawing. He smiled and walked back to you. “Here’s your medicine....” He said. You put down your sketchbook and took the medicine from him. “Thanks...” You said, after you put down the water you used to swallow your medication. You looked back up at him, expecting him to leave, but instead he jumped on you and hugged you. You squealed. “YUNHO!!” You said. He laughed. “I’m going to get you sick!” You whined. “It’s fine, when we both get sick, we can do everything together! We can take care of each other!” He said. You laughed and let him hug and cuddle you.

They stick in my throat in front of you

It’s a cliche really, Seungkwan himself recognizes it. Falling in love with his best friend seems like something straight out of one of those teen movies he laughs at and yet here he is. But it’s not like he can choose who he falls in love with, so he admits defeat and accepts it. Life has gotten tough ever since he realized because Seungkwan can’t seem to think straight when he’s around you. So he distances himself for a bit to collect his thoughts and decide what to do. Vernon has been covering for him, telling you that Seungkwan has been busy and sleeps his free time away. It’s not exactly a lie but Seungkwan doesn’t mind losing a few hours of sleep if it means spending them with you.

He can’t tell you all the words that he wants but he writes them down instead, hoping but dreading that somehow they get to you. They’re in his journal, in the last page of his history of music notebook, on his phone’s notes and even scribbled down on a napkin sometimes.

Pills for cold, meals for hunger, me for you

He’s sitting on the bus back home with Vernon when he sees you for the first time in weeks. You’re still in your work uniform and you’re looking down at your phone as you take a seat. You don’t see the two boys in the back of the bus, whose eyes linger on you for a bit after you sit down. Seungkwan doesn’t notice you right away either, not until Vernon nudges him since he’s looking down at Vernon’s phone. His heart is racing in his chest and there’s a stupid smile on his face even though he’s overthinking once again.

“So when are you gonna say something, instead of just acting like an idiot?” Vernon asks, voice loud enough just for the two of them to hear it.

“Shut up.” Seungkwan mumbles with a frown, wanting nothing but to smack the younger boy.

The bus comes to a stop and you get up, slinging your bag over your shoulder. You still haven’t noticed them and Vernon’s voice sounds distant in Seungkwan’s ears. It’s not their stop yet but Seungkwan still grabs his stuff and gets up just as you’re getting off the bus. He mumbles something along the lines of I have to go to Vernon before he runs out after you. He calls out your name and you turn around as soon as the bus takes off. Seungkwan freezes once your eyes land on him but he still takes a deep breath. It’s now or never.

oh shit this is hard. i think bowling with Tae would be more fun because you can eat snacks more easily while bowling and just chill if you suck at actually bowling. and i think summer vaca with Hobi would be so fun. no idea what we’d do together but, but I bet it’d be fun.
