Paper Wars | Bucky and Ororo
The smell of new books filled the air as Ororo slowly made her away along an aisle. The soft murmur of the bookstore’s patrons filtered into the background. The end of the semester is nigh which means she has approximately 2 weeks to complete her prep before the start of next semester. Ororo is nothing if not prepared. She had completed most of her lesson and activities for the upcoming months and one of the last things on her to-do list was to purchase the student’s books.
She trailed her fingers along the row of books as she continued her search. This was one of her favorite parts of preparation. She could have easily have sent her list out with one of the others as they completed their errands. Instead, she always made the time in her busy schedule to find her way here to her favorite bookstore. It was alight with life and lights, decorated for the holiday season and swarming with university students studying for their finals.
Shrieks suddenly filled the air followed by a loud crash and clatter of falling books. Without hesitation, Ororo swings past people as everyone’s eyes draw to the source of the calamity. She rounds a corner and approaches the madness.
There were several shelves of books overturned and papers floated, scattered everywhere. At the center of the destruction was 3 figures...or perhaps 4? There was a man scrambling up from the ground who may have been part of the altercation or just a bystander.
Regardless of the number, one man with long, shaggy dark hair appeared outnumbered.
“Enough!” her voice echoed with the force of a tornado. “What in the Goddess name is going on here?”
