TIMKONBART GET A BIG RAINBOW STAR BECAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST EVERRRR i love them so much. especially the version in my mind where bart is aroace and qpps with kon and besties with tim and still 1000% an integral pillar of the relationship. they were assigned one shared brain cell at red tornado. they get each other. they are obsessed with each other. i love them wauahghgh
as for tim/bern... sorry but its so deeply not my cup of tea. i so badly wanted to like tim's canon queer relationship but if im being honest reading tim drake: robin made me kind of actively more homophobic 💀 like, if bernard kept literally any of his personality from robin '93 and if darla/laura was still a relevant part of the trio maybe i'd give a shit, but as it is... i just hate megfitz's writing and that whole book was so all over the place and ooc that in order to actually like this ship i think id basically have to delete bernard and rebuild him from the ground up, at which point its pretty much tim/"oc that i just named bernard". it shouldve been ives smh
helloo (^ ^) could you recommend a comic run with kon for a first time reader? (maybe one of the best/cheapest to get a physical copy of?) Tyy (also sorry if u answered an ask like this before :P)
i don't really know much about getting physical copies sorry (i tend to do the vast majority of my reading online, and then just dig through the backstocks like a little raccoon scouring for superboy whenever i go to stores in person sldkfj) BUT.
most people probably start with young justice (1998). if you're totally new to comics it's not a bad place to start! however, if you're more interested in kon and the superfam, and willing to jump into the deep end, i would highly recommend reading the return of superman, specifically starting with the reign of the supermen part of the event (kon's introduction)! luckily, even though this is a crossover event, you can find it as a collected set (trade paperback, or tpb) which just has just about all the relevant issues from different runs put together.
after rots you can jump into superboy (1994). people often say this is not a good comic to start with but honestly? it was the first one i read and i think i did okay lskdhsd like i get it. it contains the horrors (if you need a list of trigger warnings, let me know!) and it can be rough. but also it has its moments that are genuinely really, really good. in my opinion you will not truly understand kon as a character unless you read his solo.
other comics with kon (konmics, if you will) come after those, but these are like, the basics for kon's early days/the basics of his character!
and a couple of links that might help: here is a list of just about every appearance he has (i think a couple might be missing, but it's overall pretty comprehensive). and also, one of my friends has a server that's doing a readalong of all of kon's comics!

So now that it has been a few hours since my "introduction" post, I think I'm ready to really start blogging. As I watch "Scooby Doo: The Movie" - yes, I have nothing better to do - I'm realizing how many sexual jokes are contained in the first 30 minutes. Each character has their own stereotypical personality quite similar to The Breakfast Club. Observe... Shaggy is like theCriminal, or the burnout, of the group. He has his own cares and problems, and just does his own thing. Scooby is like the Basketcase, especially his eating habits if you recall the lunch scene in The Breakfast Club. Fred is like the Athlete, the similarities are pretty distinct if you recall. Velma is obviously the Brain of the group, enough said. And Daphne is like the Princess due to her constant worry about her outfits, hair, and popularity status. So, there you have it, The Breakfast Club in a children's cartoon. If you really wanted to take it further, you can vouch that the monsters are like the pathetic teacher whose name I don't remember at the moment.
Crazy story: By my grandparents' house, there is a family who has the old-fashioned Volkswagen van and it looks identical to the Mystery Machine... Just in case you care.
Ugh! Why does hunger have to be a part of life... Things would be so much more simple without hunger. We would still eat, don't get me wrong because I love food, but just no feeling of hunger would be nice. Just picture it: No embarrassing tummy growlings, no uncomfortable belly pain, no world hunger... Ahhh!! Paradise.
So you may be wondering, then again, you may not be... What is my love life status? And my answer to that would have to be: It's Complicated. There are many people that I really like that don't like me, and the two that do like me are just not my type. I want the type of guy that is smart, funny, preferably strong, and can always make me smile. Not too hard to find, right? Wrong. All that guys want in my high school is one thing: sex. And honestly, I'm not up for one-night stands and all that stupid stuff. I'm way too young. In my opinion, sex is not something to be taken lightly, it should be saved for someone you truly love.
There is one person that has all these qualities and expresses them towards me, but I'm not sure he thinks of me as even a friend; but that's what makes it so nice. If this is what he treats his non-friends, imagine how lucky his girlfriends are! Ugh! I just want to be his girlfriend.
