Ah yes, the Heartian Hunting Hounds. A very old practice and tradition in our kingdom. They have been around in the kingdom since my great great great...so on grandfather had been on the throne. A lot of the hounds here are descended from the original line as well. We have many, but we try to keep the main group to about six. If some of the litter do not meet the expectations of being part of the hunting group, first they are sent for possible programs to train them to be helper dogs, such as for sight or smelling for illness. If they cannot pass that, then they're distributed amongst the staff for companionship. The same happens for when hunting dogs retire, they get to live out their life as a house dog.
