Mobile App development know-how's, strategies and everything in between
"The future of mobile means a more intricately connected ecosystem of applications.", says Nate Smith. There is no disagreement in his statement. Mobile phones today overwhelm our entire population while mobile Apps are gradually taking over. There are millions of mobile apps ranging from daily problem-solving apps to entertaining, game apps. The idea behind a successful App is not just the individuality, but also how it will captivate the end-user. Below are some interesting points for you to gear up, create your own App, without any problems.
For starters, step away from all the daily chores, get a pen and paper and start jotting down your App goals. Your goals might be defined by these questions:
· What kind of App do I want?
· How will it be different from existing Apps?
· Will it help the customers?
· Is it a game App, a problem-solving App or a business-oriented App?
Step 2 (Research and Research)
Now that you have an idea, a set goal, start researching all existing Apps that fall into the circle of your App. The odds are that someone already has a similar App. Don’t feel low. Examine the existing App, modify yours and make it look better! The 2nd step in research will be shifting towards the strategies of marketing and potential sales. Here are some pointers:
· How will I promote my App?
· How much money am I investing?
· How much return am I expecting?
· What are the target audience of my App? Adults, teenagers or everyone?
Step 3 (Design relativity to the Platform)
After you have decided your marketing strategies, plan your distribution methods. Will my App be an iOS, Windows, iPhone or Android App?
Learning about the intended Platform is a must. Designing your App accordingly will be highly advantageous in the long-run. Moreover, with the help of Appcelerator, you can design a single code base and chances are high regarding the code reusability. Hence, relax!
Step 4 Wireframe and Back End
Ever heard of a story board? Wireframe is a puffed up version. This step involves your App to define its core functions and take them further into the digital world where icons and tabs are introduced. This is a crucial designing and developing step.
After this step, either contact a Hosting service-provider, or if you have the know-how's, give it a shot yourself! Here, you outline the basics of your servers, APIs and other data. The clearer and neater your data diagrams, the easier it is for others to take your project forward.
Testing and retesting are highly important, so don’t fret if this process takes longer than you expected! At this point, either you or your service-provider will contact Google Play or App-store for the correct path to market your App. Afterwards, you will have both, a great fully-functioning App as well as the user-interface. Your test:
· App-Screens should be working accurately
· Application should be attractive and interesting
Proto.io and Pixate.io are two awesome App testing Platforms which ensure clickable link tabs for a better App navigation. Consider this stage as a crucial stage where you have to be open to new opinions, criticisms, and if lucky, you will get praises!
When you are completely satisfied, launch your App. Yay! You have made it to the end of the race. Keep your fingers crossed and wait for the fruition of your product. Luckily your App is on the store, but this doesn’t promise you millions of dollar in the 1st week. Marketing and Promotion is still necessary. Unfortunately, this is a long topic and cannot be named (Step 6), but we hope this blog was useful for you and you build outstanding Apps for us all!
