ATTENTION GAMERS
I'm seriously sick of all of this controversy about 'gamer girls', 'girl gamers', and the general presence of females in gaming. If you enjoy playing video games, your gender and style of play DO NOT fucking matter. Why single out female gamers and then attempt to categorize them? We've finally gotten past the whole 'girls can't/don't play!' thing, which is great. So why are people causing drama about the 'type' of gamer a girl is now?
In this day and age pretty much everyone that can operate a gaming platform has, in fact, operated one. There's no need for a distinction based on gender, nor is there a need for further distinction based on physical appearance and play style. If you play games on a regular basis, YOU ARE A GAMER. Not a 'girl gamer', not a 'gamer girl'. JUST A GAMER. So go play a game and quit trying to start unnecessary shit.
