“I like my privacy,” He answered still keeping to the shadows and watching her with wary eyes. While the old Gotham saying that the Batman worked alone had never been true, it didn’t mean he trusted easily. He trusted Diana and the league as The Bat, they had earned that several times over. But trusting them as Bruce was proving to be something else entirely. 

“Is there a reason you’re here?”

“He’s my son,” The Bat said, his tone almost completely unreadable through the voice distorter as they watched Nightwing take off. He rarely spoke of his life outside of his vigilante activities and this was the first time he’d spoken of having family.

“I won’t be able to assist directly in this mission,” The Bat said slowly as if he was carefully choosing his words, the voice distorter left on as if to emphasize that. “I’m familiar with the senator’s wife, Silver. . . Intimately familiar when she was still St. Cloud. She knows who I am.”

“ If you’re angry, why don’t you use your anger? Beat me at least once ... ? ”

Bruce ground his teeth, his gaze narrowed at the taunting Amazon woman. “You know I try to control it, princess.” There was an edge to his voice, a frustration that refused to go away. He had felt this anger before, known all his life, but this game of cat and mouse he played with his greatest foe had beu to get the better of him, causing all his rage to bubble up to the surface.

But this was what Joker wanted, wasn’t it? To outwit the Bat? To break the facade he tried so hard to keep/

He huffed, slamming his pole to the ground before swinging his legs at Diana.

♧ - slap my muse’s hand away from something they shouldn’t touch

bruce had been occupying himself as Diana worked away, his eyes moving over various artifacts and trinkets that Diana kept her table until one in particular caught his attention. He reached for the small statuette with a gloved hand when Diana unexpectedly slapped his hand away. 

Bruce drew his hand away quickly. “A word of warning would have sufficed.,” he told her.

♦: What can ‘kill’ your muse/ your inspiration?

Sometimes seeing art or reading a fic or story I don’t like can really kill my Bruce muse. Or if I haven’t read/watched anything DC related in a awhile. But those instances are pretty rare.

“You know, when the other rangers told me that someone from the Justice League took interest in this case, I didn’t believe them.”

Huntress Wizard and Wonder Woman rode down the dirt path towards the fort, the Amazon on a horse, and the Dryad on a stag. The very small Kingdom of the Elves had enlisted their help concerning a very aggressive griffin.

A strange creature, griffins were, half eagle, half wildcat, giant and terrifying, but strangely, they usually only had an interest in making meals out of hooves animals, such as horses or cattle. This was a nuisance in of itself for farmers, but this one had become quite dangerous, starting to take an interest in eating people instead. This was highly unusual, and required investigation.

“Sorry about having to bring you out here on horseback, but these elves really don’t like modern technology like that jet of yours, they’re very traditional and only use magic-- I feel like we’d insult them if we brought anything like that out here.”
