does jam look to jelly in envy? does jam long to be with peanut butter, yet is constantly pushed aside? why must the "j" in "pb&j" always be jelly? must jam be forgotten?

CW: police violence/murder of a Black man
Jamarion Robinson was 26 years old in 2016 when he was killed by a team of 14+ officers, led by US Marshals. Robinson’s mother had told the police that Jamarion was schizophrenic, yet the team sent to arrest Jamarion did not include any mental health experts. It is unclear whether the man the officers was looking for was actually Jamarion — officers showed a photo of the wanted man to Jamarion’s grandmother, who denied that it was a photo of Jamarion at all.
The officers showed up at Jamarion’s girlfriend’s apartment, and opened fire when he refused to exit the building, and because he was holding a (broken) handgun. He was shot 76 times, and had multiple bullet wounds through the palms of his hands, indicating he was either holding his hands up in self defense, or surrender. The officers handcuffed his dead body and dragged it down a flight of stairs. Before leaving the scene they discharged a flash grenade, ostensibly to confuse the investigation to come.
Black mentally ill people are frequently hurt and killed by police officers — Jamarion’s story is not an isolated one. Share his story, sign the Justice for Jamarion Robinson petition on change.org, donate to his mom’s gofundme, & call 202-514-2000 to demand justice.

You know we had to come through & support my sis @robinsonmonteria at the Black I Am Awards as she spoke out once again on the injustice that has affected her family so tremendously! Her son was shot 76 times by police, unarmed, 2 bullets shot down into his lifeless body, handcuffed & drug down the stairs... still no justice! We will continue to stand with her & support her until we see results! ✊🏽💯 #NoJusticeNoPeace #JusticeForJam #BlackIAm #BlackIAmAwards #BlackIAmAwards2018 #PurpleCarpetEvent (at Stone Mountain, Georgia)
Wishing everyone a happy & safe 4th of July! While everyone is getting the grills ready, spending time with family, etc. I thought it'd be a great idea to further push the campaign #JusticeforJam so me & my baby girl Raine made it a photoshoot. Although I am grateful to live in a country in which I won't get stoned for saying the name Jesus or picking up my Bible, I am saddened that FREEDOM is still NOT FREE... JUSTICE does not exist for so many... the LAW is not required to be upheld by some... On this 4th of July can we take a moment... take a knee... for the many who have been massacred in this country in which we are supposed to have LIBERTY & JUSTICE FOR ALL? What an honor & a pleasure it was to meet Ms. Monteria Robinson today at the Stop the Violence Love Fest! She is the mother of a young man who was shot 76 times by Atlanta police then cuffed & drug down the stairs... only to discover they had a case of mistaken identity! Several years later & justice still has not been served! Not only that but too many still haven't heard his name or story! Jamarion Robinson was one of many who has been attempted to sweep under the rug! I feel personally responsible to do my part to help this family seek justice! I hope y'all will follow me & help! It's up to us! Everyone wants to pretend this never happened! This breaks my heart!
