I’ve come across another Letter from former #PoliticalPrisoner Eddie Conway. We were planning a visit with him at Jessup Correctional Facility back in 2012. He also let us know he got the money we sent for his commissary. #JusticeLooksLike
Digging in the creates and doing some spring cleaning I’ve come across another Lester from #PoliticalPrisoner Imam Jamil Imam Jamil Al-Amin aka H. Rap Brown. It looks like he didn’t have much to say lol. However he also sent about three pages of information he wanted me to read. #JusticeLooksLike
We rally, we write, we study, we raise funds and we use our art form to support our #PoliticalPrisoners. There are so many ways to get involved. We must continue to keep up the fight! #JusticeLooksLike
In the winter of 2014 we took a group of folks to visit #PoliticalPrisoner Eddie Conway! It was a very good day! Mama Bettie came all the way from Michigan, with one leg, in a wheel chair to visit him as well. That’s what commitment looks like. She is a beautiful source of inspiration! She would not be stopped. I’m so glad we had a chance to sit and build with this beautiful elder and warrior for our people. What’s even better is that he is out of jail and now married and living his best life ✊🏿 #JusticeLooksLike
I received this letter dated April 4, 2004 from Political Prisoner Sundiata Acoli. It was the day of the assassination of MLK. He thank me for the donation to his commissary and the letters we collected and sent to the parole board on his behalf. I am more ready now, than ever! I cannot believe I’ve spent over 1/3 of my life fighting for freedom justice and equality for my sisters and brothers behind the wall. It’s a blessing but it’s also my duty. This is a beautiful struggle. #Justicelookslike
