There was no harm in getting a HEAD START to the day...in fact he found several benefits from arriving at headquarters before anyone else. At least...thats what he was HOPING to accomplish. Though as he stepped into the office, he was dissatisfied to see RYUZAKI had beat him to it...

Did he do this on purpose? Did he KNOW Light would be arriving early? But...how could he have? It’s not like he had PLANNED anything. Or perhaps...Ryuzaki had been here all night...

Was he waiting for him?

He sighed, trying not to tense as he approached the other. Though upon further inspection of the room, he noticed a cart full of various machines and electrodes, frowning as he scrutinized it.

               Of course Light wouldn't of wanted the cake                she went out of her way to buy, why would he of?                A sigh fell from her lips as she moved through                Yotsuba headquarters, almost flopping down in the                chair next to him. Pastel blue box sitting on the small                 space between the keyboards littering the desk top.                                  ‹ ‘ Want to share this cake? ’ ›                The words came out as almost a mumble, almost                sounding annoyed she had to share it with someone                other than who she had planned. Blue and green veins                within her temple almost looked as if they were bulging,                least I knew someone who wouldn't turn it down.

     He opens the door to the darkened room, lit only by a half-dozen monitors offering a plethora of information--more than would be possible for the average mind to understand, yet the one who sat before them was far from average.

     The door clicks shut behind him, and Matt adjusts his goggles and tugs a little at the hem of his shirt before speaking in a flat tone that sounds more bored than anything else, even though he's far from it, "--You called for me?"
