It was a dark and stormy night.

A cliche setting for these sorts of encounters. But it wasn’t like Reyes could pick these sorts of things. How was he to know he’d be cast out of heaven on a night like this?

He fell, fell, fell... The angelic form, with many eyes and many mouths, burned away as he tumbled down into the mortal world, lighting up the sky for nearly a minute. But once it was all gone, he was nothing but a humanoid with busted up wings and no clue where he was. He couldn’t even tap into his deepest stores of energy to try and heal himself.

All he could really see was that he was somewhere in the woods... 

What he couldn’t have known was that the feathers from his once beautiful wings were being swept away in the wind and rain, spreading across the land...

Light practically danced from her fingers as she pulled up the security feed once more, frowning ever so slightly. EVIDENTLY, there had been a change in their usual watch schedule, and considering that they just kept ROAMING, Sombra was, admittedly, getting ANTSY. It SUCKED sitting back and just WAITING for them to get closer, but... He did have a point.

“I COULD go and do that, but where’s the fun in that, eh? You’d miss me too much.” She remarked, swiping it away before sparing him a glance. “Look, if you get the safe and I distract them, there could be trouble... This safe is supposed to be OLD, much like a certain someone, but that doesn’t mean we’ve gotten the FULL STORY, eh?”

A 'tch’ escaped her as she watched the tell-tale light from one of the GOONS flash over towards the safe once more.

“But, just this ONCE, I’ll be good.... ¡VAMOS!”

Or so he says. But “valuing his own carefree-ness in times of peace” was also one of his master’s teachings. So Genji didn’t hesitate a second darting forward and snatching the precious stetson off of its owner’s head before he could even react.

“That doesn’t mean I can’t still find your reactions entertaining.”
