“If you would just listen to me for one second.” Justin says pleading. “You would see that this is me trying to be better. I am sorry and I’m doing everything to be a better person.” “Apology accepted.” You say carefully. His eyes widen a bit and he smiles. “Thank you.”

“I mean, who better then you?”
You scoff, crossing your arms over your chest as you shake your head at Ani. You could not believe this girl; I mean, who did she really think she was? Butting herself into business that was clearly not hers and assuming things about people... First Jessica and now you.
You clench your jaw, trying to bite back your tears and ignore the many pairs of eyes on you. They’re all looking at you like some sort of criminal, like they don’t even know who are you are. I mean, Clay, a boy you’ve known since you were in diapers is looking at you with such question and doubt and you swear, you’ve never felt like such utter shit before. You just want to curl into yourself and become non-existent, that way, they would stop staring you like this...
“Who do you think you are?” You hiss, eyes narrowing dangerously at Ani. “You don’t know me, you don’t know anything! And who are you to say that--”
“He raped you, didn’t he?” Your lips part at Ani’s blunt statement, shoulders falling as takes a step towards you. If you had felt like you had any control before, you certainly don’t anymore. You suddenly feel small, cornered by this girl and your own friends, lips parting in disbelief. “Hit you? Drugged you? And didn’t he send those photos of you around the school--”
“Ani,” Clay calls, taking a step forward, his brows furrowed in concern. “Come on, just slow down--”
“No,” Ani dismisses him, shrugging her hand off of her shoulder. She keeps her eyes dead on your own, never wavering. “If you did it, Y/N, just admit it and we’ll help you. We want to help you. But we can’t help you if you don’t admit to what you did.”
“Why are you acting like you already know it’s me?” You question, eyes widening in disbelief as your gaze flickers from Ani’s own to Clay. “I mean, what proof do you have that it’s actually me?”
Ani turns to Clay, and he frowns. “We heard about how he confronted on your way home from school that one day, tried to--”
Clay is suddenly interrupted by the sound of the door opening. All three heads snap in the direction of the door, finding Justin who halts in surprise at the sight of you three. At first, he’s just surprised, but then confusion slowly fades into his expression when he takes in the situation before himself. The hostile atmosphere, the concern on Clay’s face, the determination in Ani’s own and the way you stand there, curled into yourself, tears in your eyes, clearly upset.
Justin instantly knows somethings wrong.
“What the hell is going on here?”
“J-Justin,” Clay stammers, taking a step towards the boy. But before he can begin to explain, Ani speaks up.
“Y/N killed Bryce.”
Your lips part in disbelief, eyes widening.
Justin’s expression mimics your own, however, instead of tears, there’s just anger. “What the fuck are you talking about?” Justin bellows, rushing forwards you. He moves towards you, meeting your eyes briefly before stepping in front of you, a tactic to block you from the scrutinizing eyes of Ani. He glares at her a moment before turning to Clay; “Clay, what the hell is this? Some sort of interrogation?”
“No, it’s just, we... we just--”
“You just what?” Justin interrupted harshly, “jumped to some fucking conclusion?”
“Bryce raped her.” Ani states again, just as bluntly as before. You can’t help it, but you flinch at her words. “He beat on her, sent that photo of her around school. She has the motive to do it. And then, Bryce confronted her a little bit ago after school, trying to apologize. From what I heard,” Ani’s eyes drift back to you, “it didn’t end well.”
“It didn’t end well because the asshole raped her,” Justin reminds, voice pitching in anger. “I mean, what the hell are you guys even thinking? Bryce didn’t a lot of shitty things to a lot of people, and just because Y/N was one of them, doesn’t mean she’s the one who killed him.”
“It doesn’t explain where she was the night he went missing.”
You finally step forward, “I was with Justin if you must know. I was still upset about Bryce confronting me, he calmed me down.”
“Justin?” Clay questions.
“Fuck, Jensen,” Justin scoffs, “she’s telling the truth.”
Clay turns to Ani, who still seems doubtful. “Ani,” Clay calls, pulling her attention on him. “Justin’s right, we were crazy to think it could be Y/N.”
She hesitates, “i’m... i’m sorry, I just--”
Justin moves towards you, placing his arm around you. “I think it’s best you leave.”
“I’ll drive you home,” Clay offers, obviously still feeling guilty. He turns to you, “i’m... i’m sorry, Y/N. It was wrong of me to accuse you like that.”
“It’s fine,” you whisper, avoiding his gaze. “Don’t worry about it.”
One more guilty look Justin’s way, Clay pulls Ani away.
Once they’re gone, Justin turns to you. His hands fall on your cheeks, cupping them. “Are you okay? Jesus, shit, you should’ve texted me. I would’ve stopped them a lot sooner.” Justin rambles, shaking his head, “I mean, I knew Ani was... determined, but I didn’t think she’d go after you like that. And fuck, I didn’t know she was being such a bad influence on Clay and...--”
“Justin?”
Justin halts his ramblings, meeting your eyes.
“You believe me right? Believe that I didn’t kill Bryce?”
“Of course,” Justin says without doubt, wiping away your tears with his thumbs.. “Without a doubt I believe you.”
And something about that makes you feel a whole lot better.

Everyone believed that being a celebrity was a walk in the park because of the pictures and videos that were spotted around the internet without knowing the amount of hard work it took for them to have the opportunity to be in that position. And it seemed for Justin and (Y/N), they were about to have a ride in a roller coaster they didn’t plan on getting on. With the constant talk about whether Justin was cheating on (Y/N) or not had really driven the couple into a state of consistent arguing or just flat out ignoring one another until finally they both snapped.
Now, it may been the distance that made it harder for you to trust him. Distance 7was hard, long and definitely terrifying. It constantly left a void within the both of you and neither one knew how the other would respond to feeling and filling the void. It used to be easier in the beginning when his schedules and tours were shorter and speaking to each other through a screen appeared to be fun and exciting. But, that didn’t last long. Now, it seemed you both craved for something more... lasting. A kiss, an embrace, anything.
“(Y/N), I can’t even leave without you wondering if I’m cheating on you or I’m at another girl’s house for fuck’s sake!” He yelled. One simple question lead to an argument that would soon lead to him storming out, once again. “Justin, I only asked where you were going, why is that such a big deal?!” You yelled back, hands running themselves through your hair as the screaming match continued, until finally... “Whatever, I’‘m leaving.” He said as he grabbed his keys and walked out of the door, leaving you alone in the house as the slamming of the door still echoed faintly in the house.
Hours passed and you were now unable to stay awake waiting for when Justin would return so you fell asleep alone once more with his side of the bed remained untouched as he had slept in the spare room the night before. The sounds of keys and loud rustling had awoken you when you finally are flooded with light as he flipped the switch in your bedroom, messily trying to remove his clothes. “Justin... What time is it?” You groaned as the smell of a distillery came from him with small grunts and groans as he failed to remove his shirt and bumped into the wall.
When he had finally managed to slip into bed was when you noticed them. Small red marks trailed along his neck going further down to his chest. Giving him a slight shove caused him to be alert of your presence. “What the hell (Y/N/N)?!” He yelled, rubbing a hand over his face, still clearly drunk. “No, what the hell Justin? What are those on your neck?” You shouted back, pointing to the left side of his neck as he walked to the mirror lazily, a silent ‘fuck’ escaped his mouth. “You cheated on me and then had the audacity to come back here.” You continued, shoving at his chest. Your breathing speeding up as he seemed just as furious as you. “Look...” He sighed, running his hand over his face. “(Y/N)... I can’t even remember this happening and as dumb as it sounds, I was drunk.” He says, trying to walk closer to you but you put your hand out, stopping him in his tracks. “You ne- you need to leave.” You forced out, almost laughing at the situation. There were so many warning signs but you ignored them, thinking it was the media twisting stories like they usually do. “(Y/N/N)...” He started but was ct off by you pushing him further towards the door. “ Please I just... really need space right now. Just go, Justin.” You choked on the words as you watched him pick up his jacket and left the bedroom, the hasty pattering of his feet echoed before the sound of the front door slamming quickly followed.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” He asked annoyed and calm, which made you even more uncomfortable. You wanted him to yell and scream.
“I didn’t realize early enough and I handled it myself. And I thought you would do something stupid.”
“I will.... just... fuck.”
