After a hectic morning at work, and nearly getting murdered by a colt I came home and made myself this treat for lunch :) A cookies and cream quest bar and half a choc chip cookie dough quest bar (had the other half for morning tea) cut up and baked for 4 minutes then eaten with a pouch of honey chobani and a sachet of Justin’s chocolate almond butter. Delish!

Have had a rough week or two. Things have been going downhill that’s for sure. But I talked to a good friend of mine and he helped me sort some stuff out and things are looking up again. A lesson in reaching out and talking through things :)

Colorado-Made Tastiness!

Just the other day I was squeezing an individually wrapped package of my favorite Justin’s Maple Almond Butter on a banana for a healthy pre-workout snack. Little did I know (until today!) that Justin’s Nut Butter is a Colorado started company that was based out of Boulder in 2002. They were the first company to put organic nut butter in individually wrapped squeeze packs. At first no manufacturer wanted to support this idea, so they did it themselves and have since experienced triple-digit growth every year. Justin's has an unusual approach to advertising as they claim to "not paying for shelf space, but earning it" by giving customers free samples. Next time you're at your local grocer make sure to pick up a jar (or two!) of this tasty nut butter for a healthy and delicious snack! And who knows, the food you're eating could have been started in Colorado and you don't even know it!
