About Saturday Night...ya'll know nothing is better than that restroom lighting #latepost #kidlessnight #justjstrong #classics #revolutionsoftball
My students need to experience having fun learning outside of our classroom at the Science Center by exploring the connections between math and machines. My students are second grade rock stars. They are awesome. My students are a diverse, energetic group of seventeen second-graders, who show up each day excited to learn. They are pumped to prove...
Usually I don't post about my job but this is for my babies. By my babies I mean my class of Rock Star 2nd Graders!!Our school district no longer can afford to provide funding for field trips. Many of my second graders have never been on a field trip before. Many of them have never even been to the other side of town. I have discovered based on my conversations with my kids, that a fifteen minute drive away from our school is unknown territory. A dollar donation would help! Please donate and share!

I am a scaredy-cat the level of suspense that built up in this text was just enough for me to handle. This was kind of a black dystopian mystery novel. I read it based upon the recommendation of my child‘s mentor.
I wish there really was a place like Liberty minus the drama.
I stumbled upon this book by accident. The book I intended to read, wasn’t available at the library yet so I did a quick search. This audiobook was available and voila. This was a fantastic accident. I was unable to sleep some nights because I was still listening. I loved it. Read it. That’s my recommendation.
Yes. I love that this book affirms that we women, especially black women deserve great things. It provides helpful tools so that we can strive for more while not limiting ourselves during the process. I loved discussing this book with my friends during our book club.

The story as a whole was not my cup of tea. However I did enjoy, understand, and connect Wallace’s thought process of the never ending cycle and trap of thinking about how we are perceived, especially as black people in academic institutions. The struggle of deciding to be your authentic self or placate others to avoid whatever repercussions.
I’m happy I’ve grown into myself and it’s way less of a struggle but it’s not nonexistent.
First book of 2025. I wish I could use fae magic and meet and meet and obeah.
My 2024 in books. I read far less than I would have liked. But luckily I enjoyed what I did read.
