One of the funniest things I’ve ever read in a fic was in Der Erlkönig by gravity0.

Erik is immortal and all of Daroga’s descendants make it their personal mission to babysit him for hundreds of years, passing the burden down from generation to generation. I don’t know if it was meant to be funny, but it always makes me laugh.
