There are few pains worse than hunger, except the pain a parent feels when they see their own child go to bed hungry. Food aid is great but it ends up in the hands of those with guns and the food becomes more of a weapon against the people than even the biggest rifles. We MUST help these people who own no land, no tools, no seeds, no money and no gardening knowledge, to grow vegetables on their front stoop, using free homemade bales of waste rice straw. They learn quickly and the bales produce quick results. We have gone from one to 3,000 families in Cambodia last year, and one to thousands in the Philippines as well.
