Tsukasa, in the pursuit of stardom lost his soul / true self, it being replaced with this carefully crafted persona he created.
Rui, a boy with the ability to see and talk to wandering spirits whether they be dead or in Tsukasa’s case: replaced with another.
Rui becomes fast friends with Tsukasa’s soul thinking he’s a wandering spirit who hasn’t left the mortal plane until he finds Tsukasa’s very much alive body and realizes: the soul can’t leave the mortal plane, the body is still alive.
Cue Rui trying to help Tsukasa back into his true self and get soulkasa back in his body.
