BERBATOV SNUBS ITALY FOR FULHAM
Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is all set for a reunion with former boss Martin Jol and sign with Fulham for £5 million.
The Bulgarian striker has had reported interest from Italian pair Juventus and Fiorentina but will now undergo a medical with the Cottagers before completing a move to London.
Fulham have cash available with Mousa Dembele moving to Tottenham, while Clint Dempsey is set to exit before the close of the transfer window as well.
“Of course you have to pay good players good money but I think we have made steps over the last few years and there have been many clubs interested in Dimitar,” said Jol, who signed Berbatov for Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen.
“Maybe you saw a few things on the internet, they all tried to get him but we were able and capable of getting him. Hopefully everything is good and that means we are doing the business.’’
