wing had the worst story hands down my dude
The first 10 episodes was the hardest grind for me to sit through compared to everything I’ve watched in the series, all for a plot setup that really only needed two or three episodes to cover.

I never said they had GOOD personalities. For instance, Wu-Fei was an asshole, but that does mean he has more personality than Heero or Trowa.

honestly same, like i have never had ANY interest in mine, being dominican mixed with a bunch of generic white races. no pride, no superiority, nothing. im just me, and id honestly rather not be affiliated with my herritage
Now of course I can’t go into saying its all dumb because lots of people do depend on those aspects of themselves to give them a better sense of who they are, and that’s really great. From my personal lens though I have to ask the question what the hell has my background ever determined about me? Physical features sure, most of which I don’t even like though so there’s even more of an issue. It just makes for a weird situation when people ask you to talk about yourself and all you have to share is the elements of your identity that you’ve basically manufactured. Maybe some of that’s just the product of the new age we’re pushing into but I dunno, at the end of the day there’s still nothing I belong to you know?
