For a while he had watched the man from afar, some vague stalker lead by curiosity and the knowledge that no man could withstand him. There was no threat, nor a regret to doing so. The incubus was like a lion stalking its prey through the grass, always hidden in the shadows with those pretty glowing green eyes. Corruption radiated from the man, and while it didn’t feed him the same way it did many other demons he still felt a thrill about it.
He was growing bored, though. The same routine was followed so often, and no matter how dark or corrupt he just stopped giving a fuck. He’s stalked many criminals within his lifetime, fed on their life essence and watched them fade with a twisted glee. Only strange morals kept the demon in check, preying on villains of the underground. Certain things sickened him; while a demon, he was more of a lover than a killer... Or he was supposed to be. It was about time this man’s corruption ended.
With a smooth motion Icarus pushed himself off the wall, approaching the man from behind with a confident stride and a devious smirk on his face. He reached out, putting a hand on the man’s taut shoulder for a lingering moment, then slid it slowly to place on his other shoulder. His body gracefully moved around him so that the demon now stood face-to-face with his prey, slightly forked tongue licking his lips.
“Hey there,” he purred, flashing a smile. “What’s someone like you doing out here, all alone?”
