"Afterthought" is a painting that I wanted to do in the tradition of Goya's "Third of May". In subject matter, yes, but also an experimental study of light.
Although now recognized as a great masterpiece, "Third of May" was warehoused by the government and never saw the light of day until well after the artist's death,
