It was a matter of time before Matt had to take Josh up on his open offer of medical assistance. He’d hoped it wouldn’t be this soon, though. He liked to think he was a good fighter, but he tended to overestimate his ability not to get injured. This was one of those times. He won, but when he’d got up to drag himself back onto campus, he’d noticed that it hurt to breathe. Matt wasn’t about to roll up at a hospital and have them ask a bunch of questions. If someone had to know - he was still reasonably sure he could talk his way out of this - it would be best if it was another student with powers. They’d understand why he wanted to keep it secret. Somehow, he’d managed to get into the student accommodation area with nobody noticing him. Pulled his blindfold off, now that he was on reasonably safe territory. Except, now he heard movement. Movement that was close by enough to see him. Being dressed in black and leaning against the wall for support was going to need a lot of explaining. “Who’s there?” He breathed out, wincing at the movement. Ok. Hurts to talk as well. Perfect. He’s probably broken something.
Josh had been out later than usual, the library had a new shipment of books in meant for next year but he’d managed to cajole a few medical texts out of the receptionist. They were actually quite friendly now, they'd seen so much of each other after all. He hefted his full bag over his shoulder and entered the housing building, debating between reading a new book or watching a little TV in the common area, it was probably empty about this time, when he felt his stomach drop a little and by now he knew what that meant. Someone was hurt. Someone very close by for him to be able to tell. He jogged up the stairs and came to a stop when he saw... Matt? Leaning against a door. It didn’t look like him though, he was dressed in all black, holding something in his hand and his glasses were gone too, the hell had happened? And... “Broken rib?” he said quietly, more to himself than the other. He looked up at Matt and ran close, “Mr. Murdock, are you alright?” Stupid question, he knew the answer, “It’s me, Josh. How on earth did this happen to you? C’mon, my room’s just here, let me get you inside.” he put an arm around the guys waist and rested his arm over his shoulder before moving them down the corridor towards his room.
