Hani rarely visited Pohang without reason —government inspections leading her there more times than not. But despite a steady stream of continuous visits throughout the year, she never once set aside time to actually explore the city. So seeing as how she had finished her work early during that particular day, the analyst would make the decision to wander around the city instead of immediately returning towards Seoul. It was a rare experience — but she would be sure to make the most out of her time.
Gym Leaders were often considered the heroes of their cities, and Pohang was no exception. The reigning saviour of this one in particular, Park Jihyo, wielding an ice team that was rumored to be as deadly as it was beautiful. Hani didn’t doubt it. After all, only individuals with tremendous power were granted the title of such, endowed with a responsibility to foster hope within young trainers and help during times of need.
So when she sees such an incarnation before her eyes, she wastes no time in approaching the other. But as she approaches, she thinks upon her introduction carefully. To simply introduce herself as a government official would drain the amusement out of the encounter — and the reason that she had stayed behind in Pohang was to have fun anyways. Besides, it would also give her the opportunity to gauge Pohang’s strength should Team Rocket ever decide to attack again. So she meets the deadline — finding herself standing before Jihyo with an unfamiliar preparation.
“Uh hello!” She says timidly, and for perhaps the first time in a long time, acting awkwardly as she brushes her feet against the ground.
“I was preparing to challenge the gyms but I’m not quite confident in my abilities yet. I was wondering if you had some spare time to give me some pointers?”
