Dang. I mean, I think we all sort of expect something like this to happen.. JYP hasn't been treating Got7 right and the boys weren't happy about it.
From the Dispatch news article I read, the boys wanted to stay together but couldn't agree on the agency. I'm happy that the boys tried to stay together even though it ended like this.
I want to take a moment to reflect on the journey with Got7 so far. Everyone has their special moments. The ones that made them fall in love again with the group. The memories that accompany different songs. The feeling of seeing them live (if you were lucky) or watching one of their Vlives. Just feeling their presence when you listen to a song that makes you cry, like they are there with you. Bask in those happy moments.
Now look forward to the future - I know, a scary thing to do sometimes. But, we know that the boys aren't leaving us. They just have another path that separates them for a while. They will come together as 7 again. We also need to celebrate and be excited for what is to come, too. We still get things from the boys - music, their acting, or whatever Mark's YouTube channel is going to end up being. We will get to see their individual lights shine.
Yes, I'm sad. Who in their right mind wouldn't be? We're losing something that many, if not all, of us held close. It sucks. But we can get through it. Comfort each other and show compassion and care for the boys too. They are also losing something that they love. Now is not the time for anger. What's done has been done. We must move on and make the most of this journey.
