"Far over the Misty Mountains cold..." ... ... ... It is with a somewhat heavy heart that I finally decide to share what was one of the last (and my most favorite) photos I snapped before departing Queenstown, NZ, and part of a panoramic I stood on the edge of a mountain road to take. I learned while on our horse trek that these were the Misty Mountains. Part of the range used in fly-over shots for both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films. Each time I look at this shot, I hear Thorin and the dwarves singing of dragon fire. I could never forget the love I have for this country and these stories and everything I experienced during this trip.
