Poster for my true crime screenplay on Script Revolution which I’ve gotten very good reviews/coverage on like, “Why isn’t this already on the screen somewhere?” And, “this is a viable project that should be pursued.”  At 18 I protected a frightened mob run topless bar waitress from them as she witnessed a murder they committed. I was with her for a week of interesting and singular times until she could escape the city for a flight home.

Is ISIS\ISIL the best thing ever for modern Islam?

Is this the philosophical death of them and their spiritual descendants? Western Islamic clerics are starting to speak out against them. Will this lead to a world wide wave of protest in Islam against the harshness of a religion that is finally going through the part of its evolution that Christianity went through hundreds of years ago?

Amazon stacking searches

I think perhaps we need a class action lawsuit of Amazon authors AND Customers.The funny thing is, in my book not being number one when I search on it, I'm more upset as a customer, than I am as an author.

Perhaps that would help?

Email to Amazon today from JZ Murdock: When I search on Amazon in books for Death of Heaven, my book appears on page SIX of the results. It should give me what I searched on, then all the others, as a marketing effort. But you don't NOT give the customer what they are searching on, it is offensive to customers. How is that even possible and why isn't the playing field leveled? Yes, I've seen the unacceptable answer in the Amazon FAQ. You may even be able to tell me how to fix this (doubtful) but I shouldn't have to, the search should work to begin with. The trouble is, Amazon thinks it works, when it doesn't. Number one book result comes up as: To Heaven and Back: A Doctor's Extraordinary Account of Her Death, Heaven, Angels, and Life Again: A True Story... My book then only appears on page SIX! SIX? This is apparently and shamelessly obviously, simply to enhance Amazon's bottom line (and NOT the customer's experience as touted, or the author's). Regardless of which is the most popular book, when searching on a book with the exact title, one expects that title returned first, not a more popular book with a completely different title. Who cares what is more popular when searching on an exact title? Now, AFTER the book I search on comes up, THEN you are welcome to skew my customer experience all you want but, not before. I should think Amazon would be embarrassed by this. I'm actually sure you very well may be as an employee answering these complaints, knowing as we do, what's going on here; and that Amazon must make more money this way, and so why would they be embarrassed? And what could be more important? Customer experience? Naw, couldn't be that. Searching on Death of Heaven should return MY book first, the only one named that on Amazon, regardless of ANY other criteria. If I use quotes, it does show up number four on page one; however once again, it should be First. Please fix this for the customer's sake, if not for the sake of all Authors on Amazon. Thank you.

Yes, I'm pissed off. Yes, I may be cutting my own throat with these guys. it seems this is an issue the government should step in and do something about but they won't; because this is big money and they are terrified of that. Or sexually attracted to it.

Human Rituals

Are you a Ritualist?

If you are a Theist, that is Catholic, Jewish, or whatever, then you are a ritualist. These groups have rituals they follow. Why? Superficially, to remind adherents of what they are all about.

But, I suspect it has a lot to do with Human nature. We seem to adhere to ritual without every knowing it. Many times the arguments we have with others, when objectively viewed, one side has a poor argument and typically they are the ones to more strongly argue, or fight for their beliefs, are most likely exercising ritual. 

Ritual is great, for certain things; it's innate in us as a nature, feeling natural to many of us. Just be away when you tip over from what is actual to what is ritual. Because the nature of ritual itself, is the not change and reality and facts, have to change with what is actually in existence and not just what we want to believe, or what makes us feel good. Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean it isn't how things actually are.

Children argue beyond reality, adults adapt to change and make reality productive.
