What are the benefits of actually reading a book when every single person walks around staring at the screen or their mobile device? Can you think of a reason to put the phone in your pocket or backpack for just 5 minutes? You may be surprised what you may see in front of you, it could save your life.
The great books aren’t just a collection of “dead white males,” and teaching or reading them isn’t elitist or Eurocentric. On the contrary, they are a treasure that should be made available and accessible to working-class people everywhere.

Choose your hero: Is he... 1. A tall beast in a gold and blue jacket, who eventually cleans up REALLY well? 2. A dark-haired man-fairy with huge wings (according to the fan at leastart) who is your soulmate in a series of innumerable books (and soon-to-be Hulu series)? 3. A brooding shadowhunter who might turn out to be your parabatai? Or your half-brother, possibly? (But thankfully not, in the end). 4. A gentleman with a cravat and a forbidding expression who has 10000 a year but thinks you (and your four sisters) are beneath him? But turns out to be the dreamiest of all of Austen's characters. 5. A gorgeous but damaged twenty-year-old boy with an quiver full of arrows with the weight of injustice on his young shoulders, whom you ultimately have to assassinate? 🌲 If you picked number 5, then congratulations, you are in for a world of pain. BUT you get to meet Robin Hood, my version. 🌲 If you guessed who the others were, drop your guesses in a comment and let's see who wins. But for me, Robin Hood will always be my hero. Pictured in @sm.yairlevyauthor 's gorgeous creation is Sleep, Robin Hood, one of my Outlaws books in which Robin falls in love with the girl sent to assassinate him. Except that she is dressed as a boy at first. And then... Well, read it to find out! More books coming in the series soon. In the meantime, let's all appreciate the heck out of this lady's talent. "1984", Orwell's ever-popular dystopian novel, was published June 8, 1949. "Orwellian" has come to mean a situation, idea, or societal condition which is destructive to the welfare of a free and open society. https://americanliterature.com/author/george-orwell
Ending the night with a few chapters from one of my personal favorites. Dostoevsky
Sorry I haven't posted in a while - exams and co. has kept me very stressed and busy. Back to fiction and kicked it off with this fantastic book: "They Both Die At The End". All i can say is I've never felt so attached to so manh characters in a book that takes place over such a short space of time. Highly Recommend!
