I'm watching Recreyo's Hot Ones episode rn and I'm wondering how their wedding would go

Imagine they decide to platonically (and reluctantly) marry each other since they can't find a lover that would stay with them (either due to their weird immortal life span and going through dimensions or their terrible personalities)

Half the guests never showed since Ivan was in charge of the invites, Curt having to do the rest overnight (he's never been more grateful for the tradition of not seeing your fiancé before the night of the wedding otherwise he'd lose it)

Chilly wore her panda wears along with her wedding suit because "it's MY special day, I'll wear what I want"

Buff Barney was the priest and Shady Paws was the flower boy. Their children were the groomsmen and bridesmaids

Their vows are more excuses to insult each other in "loving ways", the rings are onion rings, and the "kiss" was cut out in exchange for punching each other

There are several cakes for each individual member since they can't decide on a flavor and design.

Christian wanted a cake with his face on it with the toppers being himself. Den wanted those cakes you stab into with fake blood coming out and Kristine wanted dog treats on her cake

The brides threw their bouquets into the crowds but no one ran to grab them because "no one wants a marriage like yours"

They quickly divorced months later

Den isn't doing this again

It's not even morning yet but there's banging on her door along with...shouting?

"Open the god damn door, Den!" A masculine voice shouts, is it her land lord? "Agh, Shady Paws no! Bad dog, down boy"

Oh, it's Ivan. Den forgot that she trained their dog to bite him whenever he comes knocking on her door. He's been doing this for weeks now

"Come on, Den. I'm gonna be late--down boy!" She just put her head back down on the pillow, Ivan can call a cab

Suddenly there's a banging on the wall next to her, "shut up, I'm trying to sleep!" And now he woke Kristine up, nice going Ivan

After knocking ten more times, Ivan finally got the hint and left. "About time..." she murmured, eyes still closed. Now to go back to sleep--"Who the hell didn't pay the water bill?!"

Ivan is gone and Curt comes home from work at 1...so it's Christin who's shouting. Whatever, serves him right

He always uses up all the water whenever he showers. "It's so I can keep my hair long and luscious" he defends whenever one of their roommates confront him

With the water running, Den definitely can't fall asleep now. Ah, she had to feed Shady Paws anyways

Getting up from her bed, Den wakes to her door and opens it. Immediately picking up the tiny brown dog waiting outside patiently

As she walks though the halls and into the kitchen (while petting the adorable caine because he followed his orders to bite like a good boy) she notices how messy it looks

Flour everywhere on the counter and a couple of beans on the ground. "Chilly..." Den scowls as she mumbles under her breath

The panda obsessed girl has been trying to make her own coffee for a while now, so that she can "save up on money". Den hates her roommates

Imagine Shady Paws dies of old age while the crew is doing a scenario

He's sitting alone in the living room, too tired to get up and move around like when he was still a puppy

When he was much younger and cuter, when his owners still played with him and took him on their adventures

Shady Paws barks as loud as he can, scratching at the ground near the swirling portal. He wants Curt to come back and pet him, wants Den to feed him some chicken

But he knows better than to go into the portal, he's too old to follow the crew on their adventures. He'd just hold them back

Christin would complain about having to hold his fragile body because he can't run anymore. Kristine would have to stand back while the others are fighting a enemy because someone has to watch over their clingy dog to make sure he doesn't walk off

So Shady Paws just sits still, eyes drooping. He feels so tired. It'll be fine if he takes a small nap right?

It'll make the time go by faster and when he wakes up, his owners will be back. Maybe this time, Ivan will pet him and let him sleep on his bed again

So Shady Paws closes his eyes and dreams of being with his family

Wouldn't it be so funny if right after Sarah died, the mushroom monsters found the group and they had to leave Sarah behind?

Like imagine, Curt just watched the light leave Sarah's eyes. Her little body finally going limp and cold as she stops breathing. It's not fair, its not fair at all.

She never did anything to deserve this and she wasn't even infected! So why did they shoot at her?! It doesn't make any sense. Curt is sad and enraged all at once. Angry because his little girl is gone and sad because his little girl is gone and-

He doesn't even have time to properly grieve because those monsters are back and he needs to run. Curt tries to bring Sarah with him but he's pulled off by Ivan. One of the monsters barely misses swiping his head off and that's when he starts running

Years later when he meets Den and finds out about her being immune to the virus, he feels exactly the same way he did the day he lost Sarah

It's not fair. Den got bit and she lived, but Sarah wasn't infected and she still died. Curt scowls when he looks at the bite mark on Den's arm. His eyes are hold resentment and bitterness.

Wonder if Shady Paws is just in a universe, waiting for the crew

Walking around and meeting strangers, going back to the apartment when it gets dark

Eating scraps in trashcans and garbage bags because his food bowl at home hasn't been refilled for months

Sometimes the scary men in the big truck try to grab them, talking about how strays and unownerless pets need to be taken to the shelter

But Shady Paws isn't a stray! Shady Paws has owners! They're just playing hide and seek! And they're really good at it.

Shady Paws has been looking in bathrooms to see if Ivan is hiding behind one of the stalls. Checking in dog parks to see if Kristine is sitting on a bench waiting for her dog to find her

Poking his head under Curt's bed to see if he's laying there, laughing because his silly dog is taking so long to find him

Maybe if Shady Paws goes to one of those coffee places, he'll find Chilly! He hasn't seen her for a long time...

When the sun goes down, Shady Paws walks home and hears someone walking! Is it Den?! Has she came back for him?! He knew it! He knew his owners wouldn't abandon him!

Shady Paws runs through the door, barking happily. His tail is wagging, excited to see a familiar face again

But when he goes to the living room, he doesn't see Den, or Ivan, not even Chilly. He doesn't see any of his owners. In the living room is a girl with blue pigtails, red swirls on her cheeks, in a school uniform with a letter R pin in her hair

Shady Paws starts growling, there's a stranger in his home! She needs to get out, Curt will be home anytime soon and he'll run away if he sees a stranger standing in their living room. And if he runs then he might not come back and Shady Paws will be alone again-!

He can't let that happen

So the dog gets closer to the girl, growling and barking at her. But she doesn't attack, or flinch, she just stands there. Looking at him in pity. Like she knows something he doesn't. She crouches down and holds out her hand, then suddenly a dog treat appeared in her hand

Shady Paws doesn't want to accept anything from a stranger, especially one who broke in his house but. He hasn't eaten good food in so long, he's hungry. So so hungry.

Hesitantly, Shady Paws walks closer and closer until he's right in front of the girl. She smiles when Shady Paws takes the treat

"Hello, I'm Recreyo Chan. You're...Shady Paws, right? Curt mentioned you", the blue haired girl whispered. The girl-Recreyo Chan knows his owners? So....she can take him to them?! Suddenly Recreyo Chan frowns, like she read his mind

Then she smiles again and holds out her arms, Shady Paws jumps in. Then a portal opens in front of them and Recreyo Chan walks through. Looking down at the dog, she starts to scowl

When Recreyo Chan finds their parents, she's going to kill them
