♖ comforting after a nightmare

The yell startled him awake, his groggy brain struggling to piece together what exactly had happened, why exactly he was awake. It was so rare for Christopher to be asleep when he awoke, the other seeming to live on next to no sleep, that it took him far longer than it should have to come to he logical conclusion that the yell had come from the other man, and that it must have been the result of a dream.  

Brushing the sleep from his face - and causing his hair to brush up into awkward angles, in the process - he twisted, reaching out to pull Christopher’s attention towards him, “H-hey...” he swallowed, his voice sounding groggy, and his stutter sounding harsh and uncomforting to his own ears, though finding there was little he could do to stop it, particularly with his mind still half asleep, he proceeded, pressing his palms gently against the other’s cheek, “I’m h-h-h-here. It’s a-all right... j-j-just a d-d-dream,” he paused to lean forward, pressing a soft kiss to the top of the other’s head, “I’m h-here.”

It was the little moments that Ryan truly appreciated about his relationship.  Of course he enjoyed the more intimate entanglements, and the occasional romantic gestures that appeared either from himself or Christopher were always memories that he would cherish, however if he had to ask what his favourite thing about his relationship was, it would be moments like this. Moments in which it was just himself, and Christopher, not doing anything remarkable, simply... living.  

At this particular moment, Christopher was doing something on his computer, having been occupied by it for a number of hours. Someone who desired more attention on an hour to hour basis might have been upset by this fact, however Ryan got just as much enjoyment out of watching Christopher do things such as working, as he did getting attention.  In fact, at the particular moment, he was making a face at his computer that caused such a burst of fondness that he couldn’t stop himself from pressing a soft kiss to the top of the man’s head, muttering a very low, “I love you,” before continuing on into the kitchen as he had originally planned.  

♣ wiping away tears. 

The thing about loving someone who always seemed so happy, was that the moment that that fascade shattered, you had a sudden feeling of horror. Concern and pain were normal for seeing the pain of someone you love, but Ryan couldn’t help this sickening feeling that it was more than just bad, it was wrong, and he didn’t know if he had any idea how to help it. 

Swallowing, he reached out, cupping the other’s cheek, and using his thumb to brush away a tear that was still rolling down Christopher’s cheek, “You a-are the most important p-p-person to me. Always. P-p-please... p-please don’t ever think a-a-anything else.”

Without even announcing that he had entered the room, Kyle slid across the floor and wrapped his arms around the girl, grinning a little to himself at the slight startled reaction that he had gotten.  Nuzzling his nose into her neck, he gave a happy laugh, and squeezed her middle gentle in a soft backwards hug, “How is my favourite Kitty Kat today?”

 ♦ picking up your character

Charging across the space, Kyle didn’t give Kat enough time to react before he was picking her up in his arms and spinning her around. Whatever protests she might or might not have made to his actions went unlistened to as the young man continued to express his joy at being near her, “God, Kitty kat, I missed you. Don’t ever let me go away for that long again, okay?”

 ♤ bathing your character.

Kat had always had something about her that was... well not sad, however it was not entirely happy either. The last few months before it happened, there had been more happiness about her, and that perhaps might have been why, despite the cloak of seriousness she always seemed to keep around her, this utter brokenness hurt all the more. 

Kyle felt helpless, not knowing any solution to her pain, for there did not seem to be any solution.  

However, when he found her on the floor, seemingly senseless to the world, he knew that at the very least he could keep her going. Kat might have seemed to give up on the regular day to day motions of life, but Kyle wasn’t going to give up as well. He had scooped her off of the floor, gently set her into the bath so the warm water could wash around her, cleaning off the sins of the day, before he wrapped her in a warm robe and set her back into her bed.  It wasn’t much, it probably made nothing better, but it was all that Kyle had to offer for the moment.

I feel like this happened... so I guess in the context of their relationship... it really is kind of poetic.. It started as it ended, with them thinking about other people. And now I’m sad. It’s fine. I’m fine, I’ll just go sob forever.

Wedding:Who proposed? -  Kyle of course. It was probably big and over the top and perfectly KyleWho is the best man/men? - I guess Bentley or Caleb, I’ll say Caleb cause he’s playable right now but really I don’t know if Kyle could choose between his brothers, and Who is the braid’s maid(s)? -  I don’t know who Kat would choose. Jesse? Am I selfish in sticking Chloe in there was an option? Well I think both would be an option for brides maids thought I don’t know who’d be the maid of honourWho did the most planning? - For some reason I feel like Kyle, but only by a little bit. Just cause he’s over excitable and probably had 50000 ideas that needed to be toned waay the hell down.Who stressed the most? -  Kat, though mostly because Kyle just doesn’t stress.How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding (Except I don’t see it in a church, maybe like a park or somewhere super outdoorsy and pretty) | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? -  Kyle wouldn’t not invite anyone. maybe Kat’s parents if she would go that far.

Dessert is life.Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? -  Kyle’s more of a meat lover... I’m not sure about Kat, she strikes me of more of a meat.Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - KyleWho is more likely to suggest going out? -  KatWho is more likely to burn the house down accidently while cooking? -  Most definitely Kyle.

Chores: Who cleans the room? -  I don’t really see either of them as cleaners :PWho is really against chores? -  Kyle.Who cleans up after the pets? - Kyle but only cause he begged for the pet and Kat said he had to clean up after it if he was going to get it.Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? - pft, Both of them.Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? - Kat? Though mostly cause I can’t see Kyle doing it so I guess she’d have to stress the most if he’s not stressing at all.Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? - Kyle and he wouldn’t shut up about it.

Viola resists the notion of love too quickly so I think it took her a while to fully realizeHow was their first kiss? - Drunk. Vi was drunk, and Luke I am fairly certain was convinced she had no idea who she was kissing or why she was doing it, but she was doing it cause she was too drunk to stay in control and she just wanted to. 

Wedding:Who proposed? -  Luke and he was an adorable nervous wreck about it until Viola was just like “Did you really think I’d say no?”Who is the best man/men? - I’m going to assume Chris since he is his brother? Even if it’s only his half brother and I’m not entirely sure how close they are, but I mean family is family.Who is the braid’s maid(s)? -  One of her sisters would be her maid of honour. I feel like there is one she gets along with better than the rest, but I can’t remember if I gave this mysterious sister a name or not :PWho did the most planning? - Viola. She would of course, constantly ask Luke questions, cause she wouldn’t want him to feel like she’s kicking him out of his own wedding, but she also needs to have everything a certain way, and that invovles a lot of planningWho stressed the most? -  Viola. She would be a big ball of constant stress right up until the cermony. I thought about this for a bit and I think what I feel is.. insecurity. Is that right? You've heard me say this countless of times. That I'm intimidated..or shy.. Because you're so cool and confident. I don't know how it will go away. (/laughs nervously) Even if I'm your sunbae *by a few months?). I respect you, man... As a person. We have our little moments of joking but apart from that, I feel...uneasy if you see a serious side of me. Or I'm not worthy if you're serious......Why do I feel this.........I don't know either.
