This article in a Korean newspaper reported that the TOWARDS THE LIGHT : WILL TO POWER tour was getting written up in one US source, Consequence, as the best Live Show and Tour of Kpop in 2024.

Cool. And my experience with ticketing was that the floor seats with sound check access, and first floor, quite close visually to the stage, were FULLY booked by the Ateez Fanclub verified elite by the time general ticketing opened. I also FOUGHT tooth and nail to get my seats (section 31 for Saturday, section 36 for Sunday).

My K-Atiny posting perusal (there's so little of it and much of it is so negative unfortunately) taught me that Yes24 opens up its canceled or unpaid-for reservations (a lot of people choose to do direct bank transfers, and for that they give you a deadline) at midnight the day after general ticketing.

I wanted to see if it was sold out. I can't believe I did this on a work night as a chronically sleep deprived insomniac who sucks at staying asleep but, I actually stayed up to see what tickets would get canceled, either due to actively being canceled or people not making the payment in time. And lo, sections 37 to 30 are still fully booked, but ALL other sections on 2F had up anywhere from 12 to 40 seats open up for both nights. I was perversely relieved to see that the sound-check access and 1F seats were still fully sold out, with no cancellations. Good, even if this means I can't get at those seats.

The thing is, KSPO dome is supposed to be preferred stage for Kpop Idols and their fans because but for sections 24 and 43 on either end of 2F, there are no bad seats with restricted viewing. And yet it hasn't sold out! I am fully a stan now, going from zero to 100 in record time, because I'm pissy at those who canceled LOL.

In 2024, according to one metric, Ateez had the 32nd most number of attendees among all Kpop acts, domestically, for their tour (the opening for this one, for which I am attending the finale), with 2 nights at a different, smaller venue, for a total of 10,845 people.

그룹 에이티즈(ATEEZ)가 2024년에 진행한 투어로도 외신의 주목을 받고 있다.

미국 음악 전문 매체 컨시퀀스의(Consequence) 발표에 따르면, 에이티즈는 2024 월드투어 '투워즈 더 라이트 : 윌 투 파워(TOWARDS THE LIGHT : WILL TO POWER)'를 통해 '2024년 K팝 연감(The 2024 K-Pop Yearbook)'에서 '올해의 베스트 투어(Best Tour of the year)'와 '2024년 베스트 라이브 쇼(The Best Live Shows of 2024)'에 잇달아 선정되었다.

컨시퀀스는 '올해의 베스트 투어'에 꼽은 이유에 대해 "에이티즈의 이야기에 전환점을 알린 것 같다. 이들은 꾸준히 기세를 유지해 왔지만, 올해 진행된 북미 투어는 멤버들을 더욱 야심찬 영역으로 밀어 넣었다. 그 결과 믿을 수 없을 정도로 인상적인 투어가 탄생했다"라고 설명하며, "지금의 자리에 오른 에이티즈가 많은 관중 앞에서 공연을 펼친 것은 너무나 만족스러운 일이다. 그들의 화려한 이야기는 아직 끝나지 않았지만 2024년은 가치 있는 한 해였다"라며 극찬을 보냈다.

아울러 에이티즈가 K팝 아티스트 중 유일하게 꼽힌 '2024년 베스트 라이브 쇼(The Best Live Shows of 2024)' 부문에 대해서는 "이 투어는 에이티즈의 공연을 특별하게 만드는 것이 무엇인지를 정확하게 보여줬다. 에너제틱한 퍼포먼스, 매력적인 비주얼, 깔끔한 보컬로 이루어진 이번 공연은 에이티즈에게 뜻깊은 성취를 가져다주었다. 이들은 북미 스타디움에도 입성했는데, 에이티즈가 큰 성장을 이루었음을 확인시켰다"라고 올해의 성과를 언급하기도 했다.

이 가운데 미국 빌보드의 '더 이어 인 투어링 2024(The Year In Touring 2024)' 보고서에 따르면 에이티즈는 2024년 북미 투어를 통해 13회의 공연으로 약 20만 명의 관객을 운집시키며 'K팝 톱 투어(K-POP Top Tours)' 4위에 올랐다.

지난 8월, 2024 월드투어를 성료한 에이티즈는 로스앤젤레스 'BMO 스타디움(BMO Stadium)'에서 북미 첫 스타디움 무대를 밟았고, 약 4만 명이 넘는 수용인원을 자랑하는 알링턴의 '글로브 라이프 필드(Globe Life Field)'에 'K팝 보이그룹 최초'로 입성하며 화제에 올랐던 바 있다. 뿐만 아니라 뉴욕의 '시티 필드(Citi Field)'에서 '4세대 최초'로 콘서트를 개최하며 K팝에 역사적인 기록을 세웠다.

이렇듯 2024년 월드투어 '투워즈 더 라이트 : 윌 투 파워'로 본인들의 커리어에 기념비적인 발자취를 남긴 에이티즈는 2025년 동명의 투어로 유럽으로 향한다. 이들은 내년 1월부터 프랑스를 시작으로 이탈리아, 스위스, 영국, 네덜란드, 스페인, 독일, 덴마크, 벨기에까지 총 9개국에서 14회 공연을 가진다.
