a/n - sorry this is late, i kinda hate the ending but i hope you enjoy !!

“c’mon kent, we should head back.” you murmur, no real urgency in your voice. “ ‘s late and you have a game tomorrow.” you continue. “ i’ll be fine love, i know you like these drives.” he whispers out, squeezing your hand, bringing it to his lips, pressing a soft kiss against the backside of your fingers.

“okay, just a little bit longer though.”

he nods silently, eyes focused on the road ahead of him. late night drives quickly became somewhat of a tradition for the two of you, it was something that normally only occurred when one of you were unable to sleep or needed to unplug for a while and you both enjoyed it too much to stop. you smile thinking back to the first night you went on a longer drive with the boy beside you.

“thank you babe.” you mutter. “what for?” he asks, glancing your way. “these drives,” you shrug “everything really.”

“anything for you bug.”
