she’s got a blunt pinched between her thumb and forefinger, a pipe on the table in front of her, and a bong sitting by her feet ---- call it excessive, but she likes to think of it as prepared for anything. a part of her misses the old days, where a few good hits got her doing back flips in her chair, but the comforting taste of smoke on her tongue always seems to call her back only hours after she decides it’s about time to break down her tolerance.
strands of her tied back hair fall into her face. she could probably use a shower right about now, but fuck it --- it’s the weekend. well, it’s her weekend anyway. no homework, no class, no cares in the world, and certainly no changing out of her comfiest PJs. it’s definitely a good day to break out the ecstasy, but she’ll play it by ear for now.
“You gonna hit this shit with me or what, dude ??”
( florence pugh, 22, cisgender female, she/her ) Have you seen ANDY KING around ? I hear they’re a COLLEGE STUDENT/DEALER who can sometimes be A BAD INFLUENCE & OPINIONATED. But I also heard they can be A GOOD FRIEND & DILIGENT if you catch them on a good day. They’re usually hanging around THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO in their spare time. I sure hope they’re alright !
tw: implications of childhood sexual abuse
a like = me DMing you for some good ol’ plotting
at her core, andrea king just wants what every college student wants: to spend every single day in a haze of inebriation and somehow come out valedictorian in the end. but you can't always get what you want, so she compromises a little of both.
in middle school, everyone told her she was going to be a soccer star. in high school, everyone stood over her in the hospital room with that sad look in their eyes---almost like they tore their achilles tendons and broke their kneecap and maybe they would never be able to walk properly again, and not her.
when she was younger, the topic of drugs was one so taboo that even the mention of marijuana was considered something of a swear word. generation after generation, parents make the same mistake of sheltering their children so much that when they turn eighteen... well, they go fucking psychotic.
andy hasn't seen her parents since she did what every typical young adult does: buzzed her hair off, got some tattoos, and said fuck you mom and dad. needless to say, it didn't go over so well. sometimes, she misses them---but that's just some weird, sentimental bullshit left over from the years of insistence that BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER. she still remembers turning to scream THAT'S NOT EVEN THE WHOLE PHRASE, YOU FUCKING IDIOTS
if you ask her about her cousin darren, and why she always shied away from him after she turned eleven, she'll tell you i just fucking hate being around people who don't do anything with their lives
if you ask her why she doesn't roadtrip home for the holidays, she'll tell you i just don't like buying gifts for everyone.
at twenty-two years old, andrea king finds herself in the typical i made it into the college of my dreams conundrum: how the fuck do you pay for this shit? Seriously -- an eighty-five dollar health fee? they're charging kids to be healthy now??
so, she makes a decision: turn her hobby ( and her major --- pharmaceuticals ) into a a living. what's better than getting high with your friends? getting high with your friends and getting paid for it. you want it?? she's got it, but her specialty is "third eye openers". don't get her started on the cultural impact of The Wall and Tool.
