Watched Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam tonight.

It was my favorite movie in my childhood. But watching it after so many years...it definitely hit different. But the thing that got me was... men crying.

I won't say the flim is progressive, it not being it makes my point more strong but showing Rahul and Rohan having a moment before he leaves for London. Then him speaking with Anjali about his he felt abandoned. Seeking comfort from hey. Especially where he places his head on her shoulder. It may not feel like a big thing. But in today's cinema where the definition of 'Man' has changed, this scene hit hard to me.

Hritik Roshan crying in almost every scene, Amitabh Bachchan with his silent tears. There was something about these KJO movies and his make leads which normalized the vulnerability in men. There is a reason these leads are considered paragon of romance.

Just miss seeing this in cinema these days.
