We had a promising start to the day but then this happened... It doesn't look like much, but this fray in a tiny rubbery belt means that the laser cutter won't work properly. Which means I can't continue with orders. It can also mean that the cutter continues burning without movement and can, and has in the past, started fires within the machine which can spread in seconds. I've learnt from my mistakes and I've been lucky with each one that I've learnt quickly and with little damage. I NEVER move away from the machine while it's on. Luckily I caught this as soon as it happened, and we always have a spare in because it does happen from time to time. It's taken a chunk of the morning but it's fixed and we're back to making orders. But it just shows how on the ball I have to be with this delicate, scary equipment.
