I kinda want to discuss random jungle warfare, amphibious landing, littoral zone type stuff today. Probably because the weather is warming up. Examples, but not limited to:

What is the role of armored vehicles in jungle warfare?

Are amphibious landings totally dependent on giant APCs and hovercraft at this point?

What would you want in a design for tropical rations?

Has the U.S. Navy's programs for littoral combat ships been a complete boondoggle or is there something to be salvaged moving forward?

"Over the beach" small arms, bag it or design around it?

Effectiveness of K9/MWD and Marine Mammal units compared to Drones in tropical war zones.

Edit: This is just an offensive or aggressor based discussion, defensive tactics and equipment for tropical climates and coastlines are fair game.
