'BREATHE' My latest mural at @edinburghcastlepub located at 950 Geary st., SF. I had painted my first mural on this wall two and a half years ago with the intention of creating a new one overlapping it once it had become filled with grafitti (see pics for original piece and my friend @k_lly posing in front of overlapping graff). My intention was to have the original mural and the years of grafitti covering the majority of it as the underlayer, foundation and inspiration for this new piece. Ironically 'BREATH' is located in Edinburgh Castle's smoking lounge. This piece is dedication to a close friend of mine who is going through an extremely rough time in her life. The symbols in this work translate to different aspects of her life that only she can read. 2018 was one of the most challenging years of my life and in the thick of it she would continually tell me to 'breathe' offering me an ear to vent my frustrations along with intelligent and caring perspectives and advice to better my situation. She held my hand through some very rough times.
