Just in an instant, the anchor flared brilliantly. He could assume it likely it stung as much as it shone. If Kaaras’ brief reaction was any indication, then he may not be fine and it did no good to hide it. It was important that he watched over the effects it had on Kaaras’ livelihood.
He felt a sense of rightful responsibility to make the man as comfortable as possible - especially given his own involvement.
