All in all he finds them to be pretty nifty murder machines! He hasn’t the faintest clue how machines work, but he tries to help Enver with them- namely through the occasional suggestion or being an unwilling guinea pig

(For instance, Gortash didn’t tell Vat’il that he was working on installing scrying eyes and thusly giving them the ability to see invisible targets. The way he found out was by getting jump scared by a Watcher that, as far as he’s concerned, shouldn’t have been able to see him)

Indeed, per this article on the etymology of tea, the Polish word herbata (and the Lithuanian word arbata) is derived from the Dutch herba thee. (“tea herb”, pronounced “her-ba-tee”.)

And as the source post for that map says, the main Dutch ports in east Asia were in Fujian and Taiwan, both places where people used the te pronunciation of 茶. The Dutch East India Company was the main importer of tea into Europe, leading to the spread of “tea” words derived from the Dutch thee.

(Interestingly, the Polish word for tea-kettle is czajnik, which may be from the Mandarin cha or the Russian derivation chay.)

What scene did you first put down?

I love the “50 sentences” prompts and I always write them in order, so 1. Comfort was the first one written:

Although it wasn’t the first one I came up with when I first looked over the prompt lists. That honor goes to 20. Freedom:

finn: what do you consider to be your most heroic moment?

oh, damn, you went with the difficult one, ok.

I don’t know if I ever really had a heroic moment. I did have a few action-movie moments in my life, like not letting people get hit by a car (because people don’t look where they’re going and you have to catch them, duh), but that didn’t feel heroic, that felt more like a reflex.

tbh pulling my way through 2015 without descending into table-flip level hysterics was probably my biggest trial so far

12. What was your last dream about? - All I can remember is that I was on a train (like the orient express from that poirot film!) and I had a really bad feeling about something and I woke up feeling weird

13. What talents do you have? - I can play the piano and i guess i’m not terrible at art but according to my mom my biggest talent is making my room unhabitable in less than five minutes.
