If you are able to talk about your rape so openly in a public setting, you weren't really raped. In case nobody told you, buyers remorse and rape are not the same.
Oh, anon. I really wish you were right. You see, I would love to not have those memories creep up in my nightmares, sabotage an intimate moment with a partner, or keep me wired in the middle of a thunderstorm. But they do. Sadly, you are wrong. And an asshat. But I figure that goes without saying.
Nope, asshat, I am in fact a survivor. I just have gotten rid of the shame part. It took me ten years, but hey, these things take time. I don’t have a problem reminding people that rape is still a taboo topic, because we make it so. I have the power now. And I am going to use it to try to make our world a little less hostile towards survivors. I am going to use it to let them know that they aren’t alone. I am going to use it to let them know that shame doesn’t belong to them, and they have done nothing wrong.
Hate on me all you want, asshat. I’ve found my voice, and have no problem using it to call you out on your misogynistic bullshit.
