激辛とうがらし味歌舞伎揚 // Super Spicy Pepper Kabukiage There’s a warning on the bottom of the package:
この商品は大変辛いので、小さなお子様や刺激物に弱い方はご注意ください (This product is extremely spicy. Small children and those sensitive to irritants should exercise caution.)
I doubted they’d be hot enough to warrant such a strong warning, but if you’re expecting traditional kabukiage rice crackers (flavored with sweet soy sauce)... yeah, it would be a shock. I liked the taste, but they actually burnt my throat a bit, so I’d recommend having a beverage on hand.
