My brothers friend has been arguing with him over fiction

They seem to hold the belief that all media - especially negative media - has the impact of "changing" People and making said person think the things they watch are okay irl, which we all know, is NOT the case

Now in my personal opinion, many of these seem old, don't really give a clear answer, or seem to contradict whatever point they are trying to make

(Also many of the tests seemed to be preformed on young children or grown men?)

They have been continuously gaslighting my brother, using his ADHD as a weapon (they pushed and argued with him so hard about not sending sources, saying they dont want to bother sending things to someone who'll never read it or ask my (his sisters) opinion bc what I say apparently means nothing bc I'm not an "outside source"??) And they've said much, much worse

They've also tried to prove the fiction=reality point by saying "childrens shows portray ppl in wheelchairs to desensitize shildren to the idea and make them not stare at these ppl"

Yes they've used disabled ppl SPECIFICALLY, to try and prove this

Also, they believe that "violent" Media will make you lose empathy, which in turn, will make you a bad person. And as someone with very low empathy... That's fucked up

I believe that is all, I just want to help my brother bc his friend KNOWS he has problems articulating things, especially in a high pressure situation, and to them my word means nothing :)
