     THOSE WORDS NORMALLY WOULD be met with a casual, unreadable glance, and though he did look at Haibara the same way he would anyone who brought up how ‘great he looked in some new pants’, the fact that it was them who brought such forward made the tips of his ears turn a faint reddish hue. ❝Mm…they’re not too different from my other ones. It’s just that these are a little larger so I can move around better.❞ Less tight in certain places was what he really meant. If Nanami had wanted to, he would have just gone to a personal tailor and had them make the perfect pair of pants for him, but alas, there was little to no point when they could get stained with blood and all manner of gross things that came with the job of being a sorcerer. Still, he was glad that Haibara had noticed the change, no matter how slight…even if that did bring to question HOW they noticed at all…

     THEY WERE CURIOUS OF those reaching fingers, the one closest to Haibara 'watching' him with a slight tilt of their head. They made no move to come closer, but they certainly didn't seem bothered. Ozymandias took a sip of his tea, lazily lounging against his seat with book in hand before turning his head just slightly to glance in Haibara's direction. ❝Do as you wish. It is ultimately their decision if they allow you to touch them.❞ Which they would. The sphinx cubs were not PICKY about who gave them attention. Now if they liked Haibara enough, they would probably cling to him for more affection later down the line, but that wasn't too important--

     ❝...❞ HAIBARA, PLEASE. Nanami was no mind reader! What did this even mean? He assumed it was for food since it was similar to the baby birds he would catch a glimpse of in the trees above. They’d go crazy with their peeping when their parent showed up, mouths wide open like a gaping abyss. Since Haibara too was akin to a gaping abyss when it came to anything remotely edible, he supposed they wanted to try one of his daifuku. Thus, he plucked one from the small box he had bought and slipped it into their mouth. ❝Use your words next time, Yu.❞

      ❝...❞ Why was it his neighbor was constantly coming around and stealing things that weren't his? Nanami, for the life of him, couldn't really understand why they were so protective of his goats, but every now and then, they would come back, snatch them all up in their car, and then drive off into the distance. Each time Nanami wound up having to cause even further unnecessary commotion just getting them back just for things to rinse repeat. Sighing, he slipped a hand through his hair, frown soon deepening the lines on his features even further. ❝Haibara...❞
