Obviously this is my opinion but like…4x05 was Quentin’s episode for closure on Alice. It was about his feelings about what happened. This was ALICE’S closure episode. She didn’t get closure in 4x05. He wouldn’t talk to her. Taking to S1!Q in this episode was where she got to have her feelings and get closure.

it’s a good point and your opinion is ttly valid! but like... this is also a disservice to alice because she was having plots and things outside of quentin for the first time in forever and now they’ve set her back 5 steps. it’s the same gripe i had with the s2 qualice plot

It’s also possible he and arielle didn’t get “officially” “legally” married (whatever that means in relation to Fillory). Think how many people have or had marriage or commitment ceremonies without actually registering their marriage with the government (like SSM ceremonies before it was legal).

Absolutely! There’s a lot we don’t know about how things went down in the mosaic, it’s totally possible that it was something like you mentioned too.

I would actually appreciate this, because I don’t know how to tell if they’re reposted, but I don’t want to contribute to theft by reblogging stolen ones out of ignorance.

I just posted it! Because, yeah, I’m well aware the fault doesn’t lie on the people who reblog reposted gifsets as not everyone might notice. But learning how to notice is a big step on stopping reposters.

I had never heard about them until I started reading the October Daye novels. Later, I developed an interest in mythology and mythological creatures and was surprised I hadn’t heard of them before since they’re so prominent but your average Joe who isn’t a mythology buff probably wouldn’t have.

Yeah I just asked my friend about it and turns out he’d never heard of them so I had to explain. This is... baffling to me. I don’t remember learning about selkies at any specific point; I just knew about them, but I guess I did read a lot of mythology books when I was younger? It makes sense but it kind of rocks my worldview. Mythology is the coolest shit, y’all. Why don’t we teach more of it instead of re-reading the same three “classics” over and over again in English class?

Thanks! I’m getting by, I’m just having like... WILD mood swings atm?? And I’m not sure if they’re because of my current mental state or my period (which started the same day as the big stressors HAHA SURE WHY NOT). Probably both? Probably both.

Not sure if there's any on Tumblr, but there are definitely fics on AO3.

I...may have already read all those fics lol. I’m trying to write a fic for a friend who really ships them, but I’m coming up blank for prompts and was hoping there’d be a bigger community I could get ideas from. oh well, I’m sure I’ll think of something eventually!
